The goal of this site is to develop and present ideas and policy recommendations that serve the public interest and not that of powerful minorities. We do not accept the premise that democratic governments should play no role in correcting egregious market failures or that poverty and inequality are inevitable. We believe that the issue of distribution should be at the center of all policy discussion. We reject the propagandistic use of economic arguments that justify social darwinism, gross inequality and injustice while masking purely selfish interests of minorities. We believe that the current economic crisis was avoidable.
